It’s time to take the Census again, that every-10-years official count of who and where we are, the one that’s used to allocate tax money and redraw legislative district lines. But the gerrymandered result is generally to the benefit of the party (usually Republicans) drawing the lines, not the people residing therein. Northern Ohio’s snaky (in more ways than one) 9th Congressional District, which happens to be the client paper’s home district, is an infamous example of that.
